Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team at Next Level Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our bioprocessing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Safety Protocols: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to the principles of "safety first, quality always".
  • Cell Culture and Sterile Operations: Perform sterile manipulations in biosafety hoods and isolators, and maintain cell lines through media changes and cell passages.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain production instruments and equipment, including pH meters, conductivity meters, microscopes, and other production equipment.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Write and review batch records, SOPs, and qualification documents for viral/Renogen operations.
  • Inventory Management: Complete timely SAP postings and maintain department inventory.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments to plan production, testing, and product release, and work as a cross-functional team to provide resources as needed.
  • Time Management and Adaptability: Perform tasks under minimal supervision, and within tight timelines to meet production schedules.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma (Grade 12) is a must, and a biotechnology diploma would be an asset. 1-2 years of pharmaceutical/biological manufacturing experience in a GMP environment is preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal skills, both communication and written. Experience in aseptic techniques or cell culture is preferred. Intermediate/Expert computer skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to work shift work (12-hour daytime shifts, 3-4 days/week including some weekends) and overtime as required. Required to assist in disinfection procedures involving hazardous chemicals requiring the use of a respirator. Must be able to lift, move, and maneuver small-medium sized equipment and raw materials – up to 50lbs.
