About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced After School Program Assistant to join our team at Branksome Hall. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the overall routines, program planning, and implementation of activities for children aged 4-12 years old.
  • Supervise homework and outdoor play activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all students.
  • Plan and prepare activities and crafts to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's progress and important program information.
  • Operate the school entry system and maintain the After-Care spaces, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Assume responsibility for the supervision of children in the absence of the Director of After School Program.
Requirements
  • Experience working with groups of children, preferably in a camp or educational setting.
  • Ontario College of Teachers certification or equivalent degree with Primary/Junior qualifications is highly preferred.
  • A proven ability to establish a caring rapport with students and maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A positive attitude and self-motivation, with a commitment to the growth and development of our students.
