Job Title: Power Generation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Generation Engineer to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing power generation systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop power generation systems, including wind, hydro, and solar power plants
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that power generation systems meet safety, reliability, and efficiency standards
  • Develop and implement energy efficiency initiatives to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions
  • Conduct site visits to inspect and maintain power generation equipment
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, operation manuals, and maintenance procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in power generation engineering, including design, development, and implementation of power generation systems
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • Experience working in a utility company or energy sector
