About the Role

BDO is seeking an Experienced Associate to join our Capital Advisory practice in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for participating in a range of advisory capital raising assignments, assuming responsibility for the day-to-day execution and delivery of service on projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite, structure, and document credit requests
  • Analyze complex customer financial, organizational, and credit information
  • Prepare credit write-ups for presentation to clients and management
  • Conduct market and industry research, detailed financial analysis, and business valuations
  • Identify relevant business, market, and other commercial risks faced by the customer
  • Make recommendations to approve or decline transactions based on credit quality, business risk, and market needs
  • Support senior colleagues in debt advisory transaction-related activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or related field
  • CA or CPA certification preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience at a bank, credit fund, or reputable advisory firm with demonstrable debt structuring and transaction experience
  • Excellent financial modeling skills in Excel
  • Strong analytical and credit analysis skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
