Information Security Specialist

Job Summary
The Information Security Specialist plays a critical role in defining, developing, and implementing technology controls and information security policies, programs, and tools. This position requires specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential gaps, and providing security solutions to mitigate risks and protect the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in complex projects and initiatives, providing expert guidance on technology controls and information security.
- Act as a lead expert resource for project teams, the business, and outside vendors, providing advanced knowledge of organization, technology controls, and security risk issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation to drive a repeatable, consistent, and defensible process and program.
- Adhere to internal policies and procedures, technology control standards, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Influence behavior to reduce risk and foster a strong technology risk management culture within the team and across stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Information security certification or accreditation an asset.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Expert knowledge of IT security and risk disciplines and practices.
