Job SummaryWe are looking for generalists and specialists who can demonstrate currency of practice, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven knowledge of the BC curriculum. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach in a wide variety of settings and are available full-time.
Responsibilities- Teach in a variety of settings, including elementary and secondary schools
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve educational goals
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Stay current with curriculum developments and best practices in education
- Professional Certification through the BC Teacher Regulation Branch
- Bachelor's degree in education
- Successful classroom teaching experience and/or student teaching experience in a school setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with colleagues and students in knowledge-producing and knowledge-sharing
- Demonstrated ability to maintain skills through professional learning
The salary for this position is $59,711-$109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
