Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drafting Supervisor to join our team at Quality Drafting Company, LLC. As a key member of our drafting department, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of other drafting personnel, estimating costs and materials, and examining drawings for conformity and errors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Drafting Activities
    • Oversee the work of junior drafting personnel to ensure high-quality output and meet deadlines
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to improve their skills and productivity
  • Estimate Costs and Materials
    • Accurately estimate costs and materials required for drafting projects
    • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to improve profitability
  • Examine Drawings for Conformity and Errors
    • Thoroughly review drawings for accuracy and completeness
    • Identify and correct errors or discrepancies in drawings
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 5 years or more of experience in drafting and supervision
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Steel detailing Certification
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Tekla
    • Desktop applications
    • Computer-aided design (CAD)
