Your Opportunity:

Position Overview:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering clinical practice both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Engaging in prevention, health promotion, assessment, intervention, and case management for patients.
  • Coordinating and implementing rehabilitation services in partnership with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Providing mentorship and clinical oversight to students and junior staff.
  • Utilizing your clinical knowledge to enhance quality improvement initiatives and program development.

Key Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Recent experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care setting.
  • Experience in assessing and treating adult patients with dysphagia and swallowing disorders.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Level C CPR certification.

Preferred Experience:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in providing communication treatments for patients with neurological conditions, such as stroke or brain injury.
  • Recent experience with Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) studies.
