Electronics Assembler

Role Overview:

This role involves the assembly of various electronic and mechanical devices, ensuring timely product delivery for distribution. The ideal candidate will interpret technical instructions, assemble components, and integrate electronic parts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical assembly of electrical units and subassemblies, including cabinets, modules, chassis, and cable harnesses, following engineering specifications.
  • Fabricate wire harnesses and cables, including crimping, routing, and securing cables and harnesses.
  • Assemble electrical devices and wire control panels and subassemblies based on engineering schematics and operational guidelines.
  • Retrieve materials from inventory and ensure timely availability for production orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels in work-in-progress (WIP) by executing material transactions promptly.
  • Prepare material kits and necessary documentation for production lines, communicating any potential risks to management.
  • Interpret assembly instructions and adhere to process specifications.
  • Package products for shipment, conduct out-of-box audits, and transport materials from production areas to storage.
  • Manage inventory transfers between storage locations using the Oracle ERP system.
  • Systematically tag, segregate, and relocate defective materials to designated nonconformance areas.
  • Issue Quality Escape Reports (QER) to relevant personnel as necessary.
  • Engage in lean initiatives such as 5S and basic workstation optimization.
  • Uphold 5S standards within the work environment.
  • Ensure the use of anti-static protection to safeguard sensitive components.
  • Work safely and complete required training for safe task execution.
  • Report any workplace incidents or injuries.
  • Execute responsibilities in alignment with the company's Quality Assurance and Workmanship standards.
  • Comply with all corporate and local policies, including Integrity, Quality Management, and Environmental Health and Safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve production challenges.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Adaptability to work in various areas of the production floor.
  • Experience in wiring, soldering, cabling, and mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to interpret assembly drawings and schematics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills are beneficial, as this role involves occasional communication across departments.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including bending and stretching.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as part of regular duties.
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Oracle/SAP and material handling processes.

Remote Work: This position does not allow for remote work.

Education Verification: Required.
