Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Trans-United Consultants Ltd. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and test finished paint line product to ensure conformance to customer requirements as communicated in the line specification.
- Conduct and record the results of visual inspection and quality control testing on paint line product.
- Conduct calibration and verification testing on selected equipment.
- Collect, identify and store retained samples of paint line product.
- Conform to organization requirements related to wearing of PPE, proper use of lab equipment including ovens and presses, power shear, foot shear, hand shear, computer systems.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering preferred.
- 2 yrs+ industrial QA experience in a production environment; automotive, steel or painted parts environment an asset.
- Coil coating experience an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret documentation such as technical specifications, operating instructions and procedures manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally to other employees.
- Ability to perform accurate calculations using basic arithmetic concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication), whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Ability to perform basic measurements.
- Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral, numeric or diagram form.
