As a Garbage Truck Loader, you will be responsible for collecting and loading refuse on garbage trucks, assisting in routine maintenance and repair of equipment, and performing tasks that require lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Key Responsibilities- Collect and Load Refuse: Safely collect and load refuse onto garbage trucks, ensuring that all materials are properly secured and accounted for.
- Maintenance and Repair: Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment, including garbage trucks and other sanitation vehicles.
- Weight Handling: Lift and move heavy objects, including refuse and equipment, up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field, such as waste management or sanitation.
As a Garbage Truck Loader, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient collection of refuse.
Requirements- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
- Work Setting: Private contractors and other organizations in the waste management industry.
- Financial Benefits: Bonus opportunities and competitive compensation packages.
- Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
- Work Hours: 40 to 44 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
