Position Overview

KIDDOS ON THE GO LTD. is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to enhance our educational programs. This permanent role involves working 30 to 40 hours per week in an English-speaking environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute child-care initiatives that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of young learners.
  • Engage children through storytelling and interactive activities.
  • Oversee and mentor staff, trainees, or volunteers.
  • Support fellow educators in implementing programs aimed at child development.
  • Lead engaging sessions that include storytelling, singing, and excursions to local attractions.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Encourage creativity in children through various forms of art, music, and play.
  • Monitor children for any signs of learning or behavioral challenges and prepare reports for guardians.
  • Submit detailed observations to supervising educators.
  • Stay informed about licensing regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Establish behavioral guidelines and maintain a supportive environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings to review children's progress and address any concerns.
  • Build collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.

Qualifications
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Certificates: Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3), Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years, particularly with children with special needs or behavioral issues.
  • Security: Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
