About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Architect to lead our Industrial and Mining Projects team. As a key member of our Architecture group, you will be responsible for delivering world-class, innovative solutions that support community building and growth in our cities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects and design teams on various industrial and mining projects, including water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, heavy industrial facilities, process facilities, surface mining facilities, and mine maintenance facilities.
  • Collaborate with team members as part of an integrated project team, including execution, design, and reporting.
  • Engage through all project stages, from definition to construction, using your demonstrated abilities to recognize opportunities, understand client needs, and manage and deliver projects.
  • Liaise with clients, engage in business development activities, and participate in the preparation of proposals, reports, specifications, contract documents, and budget estimates.
  • Complete Ontario Building Code and National Building Code reviews on industrial/mining facilities and stamp architectural working drawings, reports, etc.
  • Prepare design budgets, manage projects, manage staff, and design fees.
  • Travel between JLR offices across Ontario and Canada to meet the needs of various projects and/or training purposes.
