As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will provide therapy services to individuals with complex mental health illnesses and medical conditions, enabling them to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess clients using an evidence-based approach, reviewing records, gathering information, and determining suitability of services to address mental health and wellness issues.
- Plan outcome-oriented therapy services by collaborating with clients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
- Establish and prioritize expected outcomes, discuss service implementation options, and determine sources and duration of service to meet identified short and long-term client goals.
- Manage a complex caseload independently, utilizing knowledge, skills, and expertise in professional practice.
- Participate in inter-agency and multidisciplinary team case management coordination as required.
- Provide education and counseling to clients and families regarding functional and rehabilitation issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, team members, and community agency personnel.
- Masters of Social Work degree (M.S.W.) preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Social Work with relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Current full registration with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW).
- Recent, related experience working in a psychiatric or counselling setting with individuals who have complex mental health issues or equivalent.
