About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Research Scientist to join our team at Huawei. As a key member of our research organization, you will be responsible for driving the development strategy, technical roadmap, and key technology direction in the fields of AI Agent, Embodied AI, and Reasoning-enhanced Large Language Models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and Development: Conduct research and analysis on the latest developments and best practices in AI, Embodied AI, and Reasoning-enhanced Large Language Models.
  • Technology Direction: Identify new and upcoming research areas by interacting with external and internal experts and bring insights to the company.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage and allocate research budget and resources to drive innovation and progress.
  • Thought Leadership: Publication, presentation, and contribution as a thought leader in the relative fields.
  • Qualifications
    • Education: PhD degree in computer science or related fields with a focus on decision making and reasoning, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Skills: Deep understanding of fundamentals and state-of-the-art techniques in foundation models for decision making and reasoning.
    • Experience: A track record of translating ideas into research prototypes quickly, with working or collaboration experience at/with industry research labs or technology companies being an asset.
