Position : Registered Practical Nurse – Casual Opportunities
Overview : At Southbridge Care Homes, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our Residents. The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) plays a vital role in enhancing the management and quality of nursing practices, adhering to the standards set by regulatory bodies and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering outstanding resident care while adhering to established protocols and following physicians' directives.
- Monitoring, documenting, and reporting vital signs, symptoms, and resident conditions, and implementing appropriate health interventions when necessary.
- Coordinating and overseeing activities related to resident care.
- Assisting in the supervision of nursing and personal care staff.
- Facilitating the training and professional growth of new team members, addressing concerns with the Director of Care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A compassionate nature and a genuine passion for caring for seniors.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Relevant experience in long-term care is preferred, with a solid understanding of the responsibilities involved.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with good comprehension abilities.
- Developed problem-solving skills to assess situations comprehensively.
- Proficiency in French is an asset, though not mandatory.
