Speech Language Pathologist Job Opportunity

Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a collaborative healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to address patients' communication and dysphagia needs.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient-centered outcomes.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and educate patients and caregivers on self-management strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Provide consultation and education to healthcare professionals and students on speech language pathology best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Compile statistics and reports on workload activities and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Current registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC) and applicable certification(s).
  • Strong knowledge of speech language pathology theory and practice, including patient-centered care models and CSHBC standards of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of research principles and methodologies, with the ability to apply evidence-based practice in clinical settings.
