Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a collaborative healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to address patients' communication and dysphagia needs.
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient-centered outcomes.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and educate patients and caregivers on self-management strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
- Provide consultation and education to healthcare professionals and students on speech language pathology best practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Compile statistics and reports on workload activities and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
- Current registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC) and applicable certification(s).
- Strong knowledge of speech language pathology theory and practice, including patient-centered care models and CSHBC standards of practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of research principles and methodologies, with the ability to apply evidence-based practice in clinical settings.
