About the Role

As a Transportation Design Technologist, you will play a vital role in shaping our transportation infrastructure. You'll contribute to the design and development of highways and roads, ensuring safe and efficient movement of people and goods.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software to create detailed plans and drawings for transportation projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure designs meet project requirements and adhere to industry standards.
  • Prepare technical documents, reports, and presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in transportation design technologies and best practices.

Your Qualifications:

  • Possess a Civil Engineering Diploma or Design and Drafting Technology diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Hold registration as a Technician (CTech)/Technologist (AScT) with Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia, or be eligible for registration.
  • Have 5+ years of progressive experience in computer-aided design and drafting of transportation projects, with a focus on highways and roads.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant software programs.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
