Heavy Duty Mechanic Job Description

At West Coast Reduction Ltd., we're committed to providing exceptional service to our customers. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial fleet vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose issues with commercial transport vehicles, including engines, chassis, and electrical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance services, such as oil changes and lubrications
  • Repair and replace parts and components as needed
  • Review and discuss work orders with supervisors
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including skid-steers and vacuum pumps

Requirements:

  • Valid Alberta Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate or interprovincial Red Seal Certification
  • Valid Alberta Commercial Vehicle Safety Inspection License
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License with air brake endorsement
  • 3 years of experience in commercial fleet vehicle repairs or similar environment
