Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled OAT Physician and Substance Use Specialist to join our team at the OAT Clinic. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our substance use treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and maintain opioid agonist therapy (OAT) for stable and new patients, conducting patient consultations, assessments, and initiating treatments to address withdrawal management and pain/addiction overlap.
  • Use anti-craving medications to treat alcohol use disorder and manage complex cases, ensuring timely and precise care.
  • Oversee documentation and participate in team meetings and patient care discussions, focusing on harm reduction and collaborative care.
  • Participate in digitally streamlined audits, chart reviews, and program evaluations, engaging in program development to improve care delivery and minimize harm in the community.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for patients, leveraging digital systems to streamline care delivery.
Requirements
  • Doctoral Degree (preferred)
  • Registration with The College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
  • Experience in substance use treatment and opioid agonist therapy
