About the Role

Amps Powerline is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on various construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and test electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Install underground wiring and cables
  • Splice, join, and connect wires
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and circuit integrity
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Install power generation, stand-by power generation, and power conditioning systems
  • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Commission systems and components
Requirements
  • Electrician Trade Certification
  • Experience an asset
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Work site environment: Outdoors, at heights
  • Work setting: Construction, various locations
  • Hours: 35 to 50 hours per week
  • Work Language: English
