Job Summary:

Blue Water Cafe, a high-volume fine dining restaurant, is seeking an experienced and skilled Chef de Partie to join their award-winning team. As a key member of the culinary team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with exceptional seasonal products and contribute to the restaurant's commitment to excellence in seafood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook Canadian seafood to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, adhering to Provincial regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement menu ideas, ensuring consistency and quality in food production.
  • Assist with inventory management, cost control, and ordering of supplies to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Chef.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of culinary experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Completion of secondary school and relevant culinary training or certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Passion for food, cooking, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Food Safe certification is an asset.
