We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/Woman to join our team at BEST - For A Cleaner World. As a Handyman/Woman, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities:- Maintenance Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs; Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse; Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs; Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment; Perform minor repairs on appliances; Perform safety and security checks; Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies; Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks; Bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability; Flexibility; Reliability.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Availability for shift or on-call work.
- Current legal ability to work in Canada.
- Health care plan.
- Other benefits.
- Permanent employment.
- 30 to 40 hours per week.
- English language.
