About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Site Lead for our school-age programs. As a Site Lead, you will work closely with our team of passionate and caring educators to provide high-quality care and education to children in our school-age programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with fellow Early Childhood Educators, families, school communities, and children to provide a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of staff and children at all times.
  • Engage in difficult conversations with educators, families, children, and community partners as needed.
  • Manage daily administrative and pedagogical tasks.
  • Act as a liaison between program staff and our HR, Finance, Pedagogy, and Operations teams.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious snacks in line with the latest nutritional guidelines.
  • Manage billing, accounts receivables, enrollments, and child care waitlists.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing standards and regulations, including the Child Care Early Years Act and How Does Learning Happen, Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years.
  • Welcoming and training new staff into your program, including supply staff.
  • Plan and implement play-based experiences based on children's interests.

Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience working or volunteering with children and youth.
  • Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators or a post-secondary degree in a similar field.
