Job Summary

Sander Geophysics Limited is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing sophisticated airborne remote sensing equipment, analyzing data for quality control, and performing software testing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair aircraft-mounted airborne remote sensing equipment;
  • Analyze data for quality control and ensure accurate results;
  • Read and understand electrical and electronic drawings to troubleshoot and repair equipment;
  • Develop and implement upgrades to proprietary real-time acquisition software;
  • Perform real-time software testing to ensure accuracy and reliability;
  • Design and build printed circuit boards (PCB) and test them for functionality;
  • Fabricate, test, and design acquisition systems to meet specific requirements;
  • Write and draw assembly procedures to ensure efficient and accurate assembly;
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, traveling globally for extended periods on short notice.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Recent graduate from an Electronics Technician/Technologist program or similar;
  • Demonstrated experience in circuit board assembly and repair;
  • Knowledge of PC assembly and testing;
  • Familiarity with printed circuit board manufacturing principles and design;
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one;
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages an asset;
  • Knowledge of Linux and embedded systems an asset.
