Hatchery Operations Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hatchery Operations Assistant at Maple Leaf Foods. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our poultry processing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the hatchery operations, including receiving eggs, distributing chicks, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Perform various tasks, including egg room duties, sanitation, and receiving duties.
  • Assist with Inovo Transfer and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work varying and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a wet/humid environment and lift up to 50 lbs. overhead repetitively.
  • Must be able to use ladders and clean at heights.
  • Must be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and schedules.
  • Must adhere to HACCP requirements and Animal Welfare Practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
