Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zones the department to ensure a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
  • Rotates stock and checks for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise.
  • Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet customer needs.
  • Adheres to food safety and handling procedures, as well as sanitation and cleaning procedures, to maintain a safe and healthy store environment.
  • Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Ensures the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
  • Follows Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Stocks merchandise/picks, downstocks if applicable, and applies product protection when required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to customer service, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods of time.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $15.75. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
