About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Personal Banker to join our team at BMO. As a Personal Banker, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers and prospects, identifying their financial needs, and providing advice and guidance on financial solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their goals.
  • Financial Solutions: Offer advice and guidance on a range of financial products and services, including everyday banking, retail investments, lending solutions, and small business solutions.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating complex situations to managers as needed.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to grow BMO's business by reaching out to new customers, generating appointments, and building relationships within the community.
  • Risk Management: Apply the risk management framework to protect the Bank's assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Credit Recommendations: Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in accordance with sound credit granting principles and Bank policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with branch and market teams to achieve business objectives and deliver a seamless customer experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically between 2-3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registration: Registration to sell investment products completed, as appropriate for the jurisdiction.
  • Lending Qualifications: Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze issues and determine next steps.

BMO offers a competitive salary range of $37,500.00 - $69,500.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
