Senior Lead Electrical Engineer

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Electrical Engineer to join their Mining and Minerals Canada team in Vancouver, BC.

This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for providing Electrical Engineering support on major projects. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Electrical Engineering support on major projects
  • Lead the electrical engineering team
  • Coach, educate, and mentor less experienced engineers
  • Prepare detailed proposals and estimates for complex electrical engineering projects
  • Provide technical leadership for the electrical components of multi-disciplinary industrial or power generation projects

Requirements:

  • 20+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized University
  • Professional Engineering (PEng) or ability to register as a Professional with EGBC
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset
