Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves assisting with daily activities, preparing snacks, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our young learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs and activities that promote child development
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Criminal record check and immunization records
  • Availability for the advertised start date and willingness to relocate
  • Previous experience in childcare or a related field is an asset
