Job Overview

RITE-LINE TRANSPORTATION INC. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Long-Distance Truck Driver to join our team. This position involves operating heavy-duty vehicles to transport goods across various locations.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience is required.

Work Environment

This role is primarily based in the United States, and candidates must be willing to relocate. Please note that relocation costs are not covered by the employer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Mentor colleagues on innovative methods and techniques.
  • Demonstrate expertise in mountain driving.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service.
  • Plan travel itineraries and make necessary reservations.
  • Collaborate in a two-person driving team or convoy.
  • Handle loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Secure special permits for international transport.
  • Operate trucks to transport goods and materials efficiently.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and oversee maintenance.
  • Manage payment transactions for goods transported.
  • Perform necessary roadside repairs and adjustments.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport.
  • Handle and transport hazardous materials safely.
Licenses and Certifications

Applicants must hold the following:

  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Defensive Driving Course
  • Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
