We are seeking a skilled Construction Worker to join our team at LAND AND LAKE CUSTOM HOMES LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks on construction sites, including loading and unloading materials, measuring weights, and performing pre-operational inspections. They will also be involved in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, as well as mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.

Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading construction materials
  • Measuring weights to prepare for rigging and hoisting
  • Performing pre-operational inspections
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assisting in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
  • Performing routine maintenance work
  • Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime as required
