Ford Motor Company is dedicated to revolutionizing mobility and shaping a smarter future for transportation. We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Developer to join our team, focusing on the development of cutting-edge embedded software solutions for next-generation vehicles.

As part of the BSP and Driver Development Team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing robust and secure software for infotainment systems, connectivity modules, and other critical hardware components. Your expertise in BSP (Linux/QNX) and bootloader development will be instrumental in bringing our innovative vehicle concepts to life.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test embedded software solutions for automotive applications, including infotainment systems, connectivity modules, and other hardware components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, system architects, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of software into vehicle platforms.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of BSP (Linux/QNX) and bootloader codebases, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Utilize debugging tools such as JTAG and oscilloscopes to identify and resolve software issues effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in embedded software development for the automotive sector.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in the design and development of BSP (Linux/QNX) and bootloaders for embedded systems.
  • Proven proficiency in C and assembly language programming.
  • Experience with at least 2 board bring-up projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with electronic schematics and hardware design principles.
  • Knowledge of embedded operating systems (Linux, QNX).
  • Experience with driver development for various communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN/CAN FD).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience working with hardware security modules (HSMs) and secure boot technologies.
