Job Summary

As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical examinations, and developing treatment plans to promote optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Patient Care
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations to diagnose and treat various health conditions
    • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote patient health and well-being
    • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with Other Healthcare Professionals
    • Consult with specialists and other healthcare professionals to evaluate patient health and develop treatment plans
    • Participate in health care policy and planning to improve patient outcomes
  • Manage Patient Records and Communication
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Stay Current with Medical Knowledge and Best Practices
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with medical knowledge and best practices
    • Apply evidence-based medicine to inform treatment decisions
Requirements
  • Education
    • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in family medicine or a related field
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
