Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated automotive technicians who can work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with colleagues when necessary. Our full-service facility is looking for individuals who can contribute to a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
As an automotive technician at Midas, you will be responsible for a variety of diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Utilizing advanced computer systems for diagnostics
  • Performing tire services and repairs
  • Maintaining heating and air conditioning systems
  • Addressing steering and suspension issues
  • Replacing belts and hoses
  • Managing radiator and engine cooling systems
  • Working with batteries, starting, and charging systems
  • Conducting brake repairs
  • Providing oil change services
  • Diagnosing check engine light issues
  • Handling muffler and exhaust services
  • Conducting visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven ability to repair vehicles independently, with experience in a team setting
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems including brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and engine diagnostics
  • A track record of high productivity and efficiency
  • Understanding of safety and environmental standards applicable to repair facilities
  • Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
  • A valid Provincial Certificate of Qualification
  • A current driver's license
  • Personal tools and equipment, including diagnostic scanners
  • Capability to service both domestic and import vehicles
