About the Opportunity:

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Specialist to join our team. As a Cleaning Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of cleaning and organization throughout the facility, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, as well as restocking supplies and equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and management to ensure seamless facility operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Strong practical knowledge of cleaning procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • WHMIS certification and other relevant safety training.
