Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Skid-Steer Loader Operator to join our team at Alberta Paving Ltd. This is a seasonal role that involves operating heavy machinery in various outdoor settings.

Work Environment

  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required

Site Conditions
  • Outdoor work in hot, dusty, and noisy environments
Job Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy machinery including skid-steer loaders, bulldozers, and front-end loaders
  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment
  • Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure equipment safety
  • Prepare and submit accident reports as necessary
  • Attach and secure special equipment as required
  • Carry out minor repairs on machinery
Required Certifications
  • CPR Certificate
  • Valid Driver's License
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with skid-steer loaders and other heavy equipment
Industry Experience
  • Knowledge in industrial, commercial, and residential construction
  • Experience in road construction
Safety and Security
  • Must be bondable
Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel regularly
  • Public transportation is not available; a valid driver's license is necessary
Physical Demands
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
