POSITION SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Executive Director of Strategy, Governance & Architecture, the Director of IT Governance & Performance is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive governance, risk, and compliance framework for IMT. This role is pivotal in leading the development of the IT Risk Management Framework, ensuring that potential risks are systematically identified, evaluated, and mitigated. The Director will also monitor the capital projects portfolio, providing essential project management support and collaborating with various departments to facilitate audits and reviews. Additionally, this position is responsible for the IMT Performance Management system, continuously evaluating departmental performance and overseeing the implementation of approved process enhancements. The Director works closely with senior IMT management to ensure that all internal IMT initiatives align with the operational and developmental needs of the department, including compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. Furthermore, the role involves establishing IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including but not limited to IT Asset Management, Change Management, and Knowledge Management.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Significant experience in IT leadership, emphasizing the delivery of business solutions and relationship management. Extensive knowledge of IT risk management, governance, and compliance principles, frameworks, and standards, including Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) and relevant legal requirements. Certification in the Governance of Enterprise IT (ISACA-CGEIT) and Certification in Risk and Information Systems Controls (ISACA-CRISC) is preferred. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Comprehensive understanding of information technologies and their application within an organization. Proven knowledge of technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, privacy, and business applications. Familiarity with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches. In-depth expertise in project management methodologies. Ability to comprehend and apply departmental policies, programs, projects, and operational requirements. Proficiency in developing and delivering training programs and translating business requirements into technical specifications. Capability to create and update technical design documents and user manuals. Aptitude for generating innovative ideas and adapting effectively to emerging technologies. Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of staff. Leadership abilities to coach, develop, and motivate internal staff. Competence in delivering projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining strong client and team relationships. Skill in accurately identifying technology requirements, analyzing business needs, and recommending appropriate technical solutions. Well-versed in Information Technology, particularly with technical terminology. Strong technology planning and project management capabilities. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills.
