About the Role:
The Unit Clerk Float will perform a variety of clerical tasks, provide supportive functions for patients and staff, and ensure the care and comfort of patients in a clinical environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clerical tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
- Provide supportive functions for patients and staff, including answering phones and responding to inquiries
- Ensure the care and comfort of patients, including maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Unit Clerk course
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Ability to speak French
