We are looking for a Controls System/Industrial Robotics Programmer to contribute to the innovative efforts at 4AG Robotics. Our mission focuses on advancing technology in mushroom harvesting, aiming to tackle significant labor shortages while promoting a sustainable food future.

Position Summary: In the role of Controls System/Industrial Robotics Programmer, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing, implementing, and diagnosing PLC programs for automation systems.
  2. Applying your skills in multi-axis motion control programming for industrial servo drives, including tuning and optimizing motion paths.
  3. Programming and enhancing robotic arms, specifically in gantry and SCARA configurations.
  4. Facilitating the integration of robotic systems into broader industrial operations.
  5. Interpreting electrical control cabinet schematics that involve PLCs, servo drives, and power supplies, while assisting in their design and optimization.
  6. Configuring and integrating various industrial sensors, such as inductive and optical proximity sensors, rotary encoders, and IO-Link devices.
  7. Leading the commissioning process of industrial control systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
  8. Utilizing effective troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve issues.
  9. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance system performance.
  10. Traveling internationally for the deployment of robotic systems.

This newly established position is designed to support our expanding operations. You will have the opportunity to apply your skills creatively and contribute to problem-solving across our organization. We are dedicated to providing mentorship and guidance through our experienced Mechatronics Team.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following qualifications and attributes:

  1. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Experience in PLC programming (e.g., Ladder, Structured Text) and proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C++, Python); familiarity with B&R brand PLCs and safety PLCs is advantageous.
  3. Expertise in motion control programming for industrial servo drives.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of programming industrial robotic arms (6-axis, SCARA).
  5. Experience with electrical control cabinets and industrial sensors.
  6. Ability to troubleshoot and commission industrial control systems effectively.
  7. Comfortable working independently in field environments.
  8. Understanding of electrical and pneumatic circuits, including valves and actuators.
  9. Familiarity with mechanical systems, such as linkages and linear drives, along with a basic understanding of kinematics.
  10. Experience in system integration, product development, and production roles.
  11. Strong communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration in a multidisciplinary setting.
  12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
