Job Title: Electronics Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team at Weir Marine Engineering. As part of our instrumentation and control electronics department, you will be responsible for providing technological solutions and systems to respond to all the testing and evaluation needs of the Canadian Navy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic measurement and control systems
  • Perform trials and acquire/analyze test data in house and in the field
  • Produce/design test plans, documentation, and schematics
  • Write technical reports and test documents in English
  • Manage projects for successful completion from start to end

Requirements:

  • Eligible to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance, which requires Canadian citizenship and 10 years of residence in Canada
  • Strong understanding and analysis skills of electronic circuits, control, and automation systems
  • Manual dexterity for test-rigs, soldering, and working with prototypes
