Position SummaryWe are seeking highly qualified individuals to join our faculty as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professors within our Cybersecurity Bachelor's Degree Program. These positions will be based at our Toronto campus, with initial teaching duties delivered online. As a member of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through high-quality instruction, research, and service.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity and related areas, contributing to the growth and development of our program.
- Scholarly Research: Engage in research activities, with opportunities to secure external funding and establish a successful research program in cybersecurity or related areas.
- Service and Community Engagement: Participate in service activities within the college and the broader academic community, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Mentorship and Student Support: Mentor and advise students, providing guidance and support to foster their academic and professional growth.
- Minimum Requirements:
- A PhD or doctorate in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- A proven record of excellence in teaching, particularly at the undergraduate level.
- Demonstrated potential for establishing a successful research program in cybersecurity or related areas.
- Experience with online learning systems, preferably Moodle.
- Relevant professional certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in integrating technology into instruction and the ability to contribute to distance learning initiatives.
- A track record of securing research funding and publishing in high-impact venues.
- Active involvement in professional organizations and contribution to the academic community.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service.
This is a full-time, tenure-track position with an anticipated start date to be determined upon hiring. The position offers competitive salary and benefits, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
