Compensation Manager Mississauga

We're seeking a seasoned Compensation Manager to spearhead our executive and employee compensation strategies, driving business growth and employee engagement. Reporting directly to the Director of Total Rewards, you'll leverage your expertise to create and implement compelling compensation programs, including those for Canada and the US.
This role is not just about numbers; it's about providing expert guidance to effectively reward and motivate our talented workforce. You'll lead a team of compensation specialists, overseeing the administration of our annual executive compensation programs, including our long-term equity incentive plan.
As a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR colleagues, you'll offer sage counsel on all matters pertaining to compensation, preparing meticulous compensation data reporting for proxy disclosures and senior leaders. You'll also oversee external benchmarking initiatives and our job evaluation process to ensure plan and program competitiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing compensation strategies that align with business objectives
- Leading a team of compensation specialists to administer compensation programs
- Providing expert guidance on compensation matters to business leaders and HR colleagues
- Preparing compensation data reporting for proxy disclosures and senior leaders
- Overseeing external benchmarking initiatives and job evaluation process
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of compensation and recognition program design, practices, policies, and competitive industry trends
We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in compensation and benefits. You'll bring:
- Masterful command of compensation practices, encompassing executive and employee compensation program design, implementation, and administration
- In-depth knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements governing the compensation landscape
- Superior analytical skills and ability to analyze statistical and financial data and develop insights to inform recommendations
- Adept at managing multiple projects with finesse
- Excellent communication and consulting skills
- A guardian of information integrity, committed to handling data with utmost accuracy, security, and confidentiality
We're looking for a candidate with:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- On the path towards CCP or CHRP designation if not already acquired
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Compensation, with a minimum of 2 years at the managerial level
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office suite
- Long-term equity plan administration experience
- Familiarity with SAP / Success Factors is an asset
