Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and address the psychosocial needs of residents, ensuring their well-being and fostering a supportive environment.
  • Lead resident care conferences and facilitate end-of-service planning, providing crucial crisis intervention and debriefing for residents, their loved ones, and team members.
  • Offer adjustment counselling, assess eligibility for financial or material assistance, and collaborate with the care team for personalized service plans.
  • Resourcefully lead support groups, advocate for legislative programs, and revise policies as needed.
  • Foster invaluable relationships with residents, team members, and external agencies.
  • Identify and rectify unsafe situations, ensuring the adoption of secure work practices.
About You

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual who brings positivity and empathy to the workplace. You will excel in working independently or as part of a team, managing your workload with efficiency, and maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Social Work. Master of Social Work preferred.
  • Current registration in good standing with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
  • Minimum of one year of experience providing services to seniors, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
What We Offer

A competitive salary ranging from $42.27 to $52.81 as outlined by the HSP Master Collective Agreement.
