Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
- Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that all food is prepared and served safely and to the highest quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen and ensure that all food and supplies are properly stored and managed.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff.
- Accessibility: Provide awareness training to employees to create a friendly work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Cross-Cultural Training: Offer diversity and cross-cultural trainings to establish a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Youth Training: Offer tailored on-the-job training for youth to develop their culinary skills.
- Indigenous Training: Deliver cultural competency and awareness training to all employees for a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Age Diversity: Implement hiring policies that discourage age discrimination and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Visible Minority Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to establish a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
