Courier Van Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Courier Van Driver to join our team at Coastal Drywall Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Accept payment or invoices for items delivered, handling financial transactions with accuracy.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products, demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Keep a record of items received and delivered, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Prepare, package, and restock goods, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Load and unload goods, utilizing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
  • Sort packages for delivery, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Use maps and other trip planning aids to optimize routes and reduce travel time.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work 35 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills.
