- Participate in Social and Recreational Programs: Participate in social and recreational programs, including group activities, outings, special events, and opportunities for socialization.
- Housekeeping and Laundry: Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as required.
- Dining Room Preparation and Meal Service: Assist with dining room preparation and meal service, including tray service to resident rooms as required.
- Interact with Residents, Guests, and Staff: Interact with residents, guests, and staff in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Documentation: Complete required documentation.
- Team Player: Act as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Security and Infection Control: Follow security and infection control policies and procedures.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
- Physical Capability: Must be physically capable to perform all required tasks as outlined in the job description.
- Medical Requirements: As per OH&S (medical history/or requirements).
- Golden Life Management Policies and Procedures: Ensures that Golden Life Management policies and procedures are practiced.
- Accountability: Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
- Cooperation, Attitude, Resident Focus, Team Work, Problem Solving Skills: Based on individual; cooperation, attitude, resident focus, team work, problem solving skills, and application of the Social Model Care will impact a person's candidacy.
- Language and Communication: Able to read and write English.
- First Aid and Food Safety: Must have First Aid and has taken Food Safe or other required courses.
- Self-Motivation: Must have ability to be self-motivated for this position.
- Criminal Record Check: Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.
- TB Skin Test and COVID-19 Vaccinations: Negative TB Skin Test; and, proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
At Golden Life Management, we offer a competitive rate of $29.83 per hour for this position, which currently falls under provincial wage-levelling. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes a voluntary registered retirement plan with company contributions, for eligible employees.
