Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive in-service support (ISS) programs and Through Life Management Plans (TLMP) for our customers.
  • Lead cross-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to ensure successful program execution.
  • Manage databases, research, and analyze data to identify trends and problems, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop proposals, statements of work, and quotes for emergent work requests, and respond to customer requests for quotes.
  • Collaborate with program managers and deputy program managers to plan and develop annual operating plans for budget considerations.
  • Utilize customer information systems and enterprise resource planning systems to collect, analyze, and monitor key program elements.
  • Lead initial baseline review configuration audit activities and create associated reports to document results.
  • Provide support and influence for planning, scheduling, and execution of program docking work periods, including repairs, overhauls, and maintenance.
  • Work closely with industry partners on repair and overhaul, obsolescence management, upgrade planning, failure monitoring, and analysis, and spares inventory management.
  • Oversee the free flow repair and overhaul of complex radar systems to ensure timely execution.
  • Support and/or lead the development of complex engineering changes, including upgrades to radar systems.
  • Assist program managers and deputy program managers with strategic initiatives.
  • Travel to fleet maintenance facilities and OEM facilities as required to interact with customers and industry partners.
  • Support the planning, initiation, and execution of work breakdown structures, work packages, and cost accounts.
  • Support periodic schedule and cost status, including preparation of presentations for company and customer program reviews.
  • Proactively identify issues and make recommendations to mitigate risk.
  • Support program financial analysis by providing knowledgeable advice on reliability and associated risks of forecast data.
  • Support commercial services and subcontract management in preparation of programmatic, financial, and technical correspondence with customers and subcontractors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others through collaborative leadership.
  • Champion new ideas and calculated risk-taking.
  • Excellent analytical capacity to interpret data and link to underlying causes, identify trends and problems early on, and make recommendations.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Experience working with manufacturers of defense and naval and/or aerospace equipment would be an asset.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
