We are seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team at United Rentals. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of rental equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed to ensure a high level of technical expertise within the team.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including completion of work orders in a timely manner.
Travel to customer job sites as required to perform repairs and maintenance on rental or customer-owned equipment, ensuring that service vehicles are maintained in a clean and professional manner.
Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the Service Department.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
3-5 years of experience in repairing and maintaining equipment and tools.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
Must own tools applicable to the position.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
