Hairstylist Job Description

Moonlight Day Spa Inc. is seeking a skilled Hairstylist to join our team. As a Hairstylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services to our clients, including cutting, trimming, and styling hair, as well as providing custom hair and scalp treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on beauty care treatments and provide personalized recommendations
  • Book appointments and manage client schedules
  • Cut and trim hair according to client instructions or preferences
  • Provide custom hair and scalp treatments, including shampoos, conditioners, and styling products
  • Shave and trim beards and mustaches
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair
  • Apply hair extensions and provide other hair styling services
  • Supervise other hair stylists and salon staff
  • Maintain and order supplies, including hair care products and equipment
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in the beauty industry
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy equipment

Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the beauty industry
  • Permanent employment
  • 40 hours per week
